Synopsis of the film: “I was born under unusual circumstances.” And so begins “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards. A man, like any of us, unable to stop time. We follow his story set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man’s life can be. Directed by David Fincher, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is a time traveler’s tale of the people and places he bumps into along the way, the loves he loses and finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time. The film stars Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Taraji P. Henson, Julia Ormond, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Tilda Swinton.

TRUE WEST SAYS GOODBYE
THIS YEAR'S FESTIVAL WAS THEIR LAST
According to an article in the Boise Weekly the organizers of True West have decided to call it quits. Though funding played a small part in closing the curtains for good, a larger reason was because its organizers are at pivotal points in their careers.
Co-founder and managing director, Josie Pusl told the Weekly that it takes so much work and time to put on an event of this kind."We're an all-volunteer staff. Our careers are going in different directions, so we all made a decision to focus on our [individual] careers

A MOVIE THEATER TO SHOW ONLY IDAHO FILMS
Idaho Movie Industry Corporation is working to secure 1519 Grove Street in the Linen District of Downtown Boise to become the Idaho Movie House.
Their plan is to become a totally dedicated movie theater to Idaho Movie Makers and Movies made in Idaho. The Idaho Movie House is looking to open by November 1, 2008.
They describe their new location as 'perfect' because the space is located in a prime part of Boise, with ample parking, high visibility and the building has a perfect layout for the movie theater, concession stand, and a beer and wines lounge. Plus, Donnie Mac’s Restaurant is directly adjacent.
The Corporation is still seeking funding for the project. They estimate that approximately $100,000 is required to add theater seats and other improvements to turn this prime property into a movie gem with marquee signs and searchlight a top the building.
